Every business needs to build its annual & monthly budget three to four months before the financial year starts. The Budget prepared must be flexible. Whenever there is any change the same needs to be accounted for and adjusted in the budget. At end of every month, have a review of your actual performance with the budget numbers. If there is any deviation, list out the reasons and the same needs to be addressed. Discuss the plan with concerned department heads.
